In fact, getting the measurements right is probably more important for blinds than any other kind of window treatment. Why? Because even 1/4 inch can make the difference between a blind that hangs properly within the window frame, and one that seems crooked. This is especially important for taller windows. Think of the trajectory of a golf ball. The club face at moment of impact may only be off-square by a few degrees, but multiply that by the distance you drive the ball, and that tiny imperfection in your swing will land you in the rough, or worse. (Trust me - I know this from personal experience!) Proper measurement is so important that I often have our installers double-check my measurements just to be sure. After all, custom blinds are more expensive than off the shelf window solutions but they look so much better that you want to be sure they are installed with exceptional care.
